It is the year 2019. Retired Blade Runner, Rick Deckard, is recruited to hunt down four Nexus-6 model replicants that have escaped the labor camps of the off-world colonies and returned to Earth in search of their maker, Dr. Eldon Tyrell. When meeting with Tyrell, Deckard is introduced to and becomes enamored with the beautiful Rachel, also a replicant. As Deckard carries out his orders to retire the skin-jobs, he must come to terms with what it means to be human.

Blade Runner is one of those monumental Science fiction films that tops most lists. Based on the novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Philip K. Dick, it ponders the long-established sci-fi trope: What makes us human?
