Ep. 05-37: WALL-E (2008)

WALL-E (Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-class) is the last robot left on Earth. He spends his days tidying up the planet, one piece of garbage at a time. But during the past centuries, WALL-E has become lonely. One day, he spots EVE, a sleek and shapely probe sent back to Earth on a scanning mission. Smitten WALL-E embarks on his greatest adventure, hitchhiking a ride and following EVE across the galaxy. 
We’re back with not only our 2nd animated film but also our second Disney movie. From the geniuses at Pixar, WALL-E (2008) is a stunning achievement, a visual, heartfelt, and emotional ride told almost entirely with no dialogue. Join us as we discuss the things that contribute to this movie’s (one of our favorites of the entire season) success. Listen, as Johnny Has the Keys leaves a desolate earth, hyper-speeding across the galaxy in pursuit of love.

Episode 7 “Random Musings”

This was our first free-form discussion with a loose itinerary that we were blind to… meaning neither of us knew what the other had on our lists to discuss. We thought this would be fun, just to see where we could go without a MAIN TOPIC. So, we bounce around in the familiar territories of both genres (in various mediums) without diving too deeply into any piece. The result we feel was refreshing, fun, and worthy of revisiting for occasional future episodes. We hope you will feel the same.
