Ep. 05-39: Iron Man (2008)

IRON MAN (2008)—Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), is a brilliant inventor and wealthy industrialist who is testing weapons abroad when he is abducted by terrorists. They coerce him into creating a catastrophic weapon, but instead, he designs a powerful armored suit that helps him escape and defeat his captors. Upon his return to the US, Stark enhances the suit and utilizes it to fight against crime and terrorism, even within his own company, Stark Industries.

X-Men (2000) and Spider-Man (2002) were first, but it was Iron Man (2008) that laid the foundation for what we now know as the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Join us as we explore the profound impact of the film and how it’s influenced modern superhero movies. Listen, as Johnny Has the Keys leaves years of reckless behavior and exploiting others behind, finally embracing our true destiny of altruism and securing world peace.

Listen, as Johnny Has the Keys flees a dying planet in search of a new home, one where a man can fly.
